The Essential Services Commission signed off on an 8% increase in the “Victorian Default Offer”, which will see avg. small business electricity bills soar from $5900 to $6400 in 2020. Why you ask? “95 per cent of the increase is due to rising wholesale prices and network costs – poles and wires – that must be passed-on”. If you’re not considering solar, you’re bonkers.
